HAVE YOUR SAY

Your feedback will help us to understand the priorities and aspirations of the local community as we prepare our outline planning application for a new neighbourhood of high-quality, energy-efficient homes at Mile Oak.

Once you have had an opportunity to read an overview of the emerging plans, and view the interactive masterplan, please take a moment to complete our feedback questionnaire below.

Please ensure feedback is submitted by midnight on Sunday 24th August 2025 to ensure that it is taken into account as we prepare to submit our outline planning application.

If you would like to be kept updated on the emerging proposals, the subsequent planning application and statutory consultation carried out by Lichfield District Council, as well as progress with the plans, please ensure you select “Opt-in to email updates” at the end of the form.

1. Do you welcome the provision of high-quality family and affordable homes at a sustainable location?

2. What is your priority for new homes in Mile Oak?

3. Up to 50% of the new homes are anticipated to be affordable homes, providing opportunities for people on lower incomes to secure a home in Mile Oak. Is this important to you?

4. Would you like to see local occupancy criteria applied by the local authority, prioritising affordable housing for people with local connections?

5. The new homes will be built to Future Homes Standard, delivering a neighbourhood of net zero carbon-ready homes. Is this important to you?

6. Do you welcome the proposals to reduce the speed limit on both Sutton and Hints Roads, as well as provide a new signal-controlled (toucan) crossing of Sutton Road?

7. It is anticipated that the development would generate significant investment to support and expand local services. What is your priority for infrastructure investment in the local area?

8. Existing high value habitats such as mature trees, woodland areas and the majority of hedgerows will be retained, bolstered by extensive additional planting to significantly increase tree cover across the site, delivering biodiversity net gain of at least 10%. Is this important to you?

9. A significant proportion of the site will be retained as landscaped open space, including a network of walking and cycling routes linking with protected existing public rights of way, set within landscaped green corridors. Do you welcome this?

10. Do you have any comments or suggestions on the proposals?
